Tear gas hurled on Nepali Congress team at Humla border area from China

Pema Tamang, vice-chairperson of Namkha village municipality claimed that a Nepali Congress team that went for an on-site investigation in the Nepal-China border area in Humla was attacked with tear gas from a building across the river at the team near Hilsa at around 5 pm on Thursday, October 8. According to Tamang, no one was harmed by the gas attack and as no one was seen, he assumed that it may have been thrown by the Chinese police. ' 

A week ago, a team of Nepali Congress led by Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, Leader of Opposition of Karnali Province from headquarter Simikot visited the border and found that the new pillar number 12. After this, a Nepali Congress team including Tamang, who was elected vice-president on behalf of the Nepali Congress, reached the border area for inspection of the pillars numbered 5/6/7 and 8.The team are planning to make all the facts public after reaching the district headquarters.
