Three arrested on charge of trafficking 15-year-old girl in Kanchanpur

22-year-old Mamata Giri of Krishnapur Municipality Ward No. 5 was arrested on September 28 based on information that a 15-year-old girl was being trafficked to India.
DSP Amar Bahadur Thapa said, While investigating the case, Liquor Businessman Rajendra Prasad Bhatt of Kanchanpur and Contactor Rajendra Giri of Kanchanpur were arrested on October 5.
Stating that the investigation into the human trafficking case has been completed and handed over to the District Court, DSP Thapa said that the accused is now in the custody of the District Police Office.
A joint team of Maiti Nepal, Kanchanpur and police had rescued the girl and arrested them on the basis of information that Giri was being trafficked to India.
