Khotang/May 21 Police have arrested Padam Bahadur Sarki, 60, of Bopung VDC-2 on May 20 on charge of raping a 14-year-old girl with intellectual disability. According to Inspection Ramesh Kumar Dev of District Police Office Diktel, family of the victim filed a complaint at the Area Police Office Chisapani on May 19 accusing Sarki of raping the girl on May 13. They said that Sarki raped the girl repeatedly since February after luring her with promises. Inspector Dev said that the accused was arrested from his home. Investigation has begun after bringing him to the district headquarters, police said. Medical check-up of the girl was performed at the District Health Office on May 21. The incident came to light after the girl told her parents that she was repeatedly raped by Sarki.
