18-year-old Naresh Chaudhary, a resident of Rapti Rural Municipality Ward No. 3, Naya Basti, died after being beaten trying to steal chickens of his neighbors in Deukhuri, Dang. Chaudhary was beaten by hands and stick by his neighbor 25-year-old Omprakash Gharti and his 60-year-old father Khal Bahadur on Thursday evening, October 15
After that allegation of stealing chickens, Chaudhary went to Gharti's house and they had an argument at Gharti's chicken farm. According to police, Chaudhary’s mother took him home at night but did not seek treatment so he died due to excessive bleeding. They said that he could have been saved if treated on time.
Police further stated they only got informed about the incident on the next morning and he was already dead when they reached his house. Chaudhary's body was taken to Lamahi Hospital for postmortem.
