35-year-old Bhupendra Kumar Sah, acting headmaster of Janata Secondary School Khurhuriya in Bishnupur Rural Municipality -1 was beaten by 31-year-old Chitaranjan Yadav, Chairman of the School Management Committee and 30-year-old member Sanjeev Kumar Yadav on October 15. 

According to SP Rajendra Prasad Dhamala of the District Police Office, Sah lodged a complaint of indecent treatment against the chairman and the member of the Committee. He alleged that the 45-year-old teacher Ram Narayan Yadav and 45-year-old accountant Ram Lakhan Yadav accountant were mistreated and the teachers Bhuvaneshwari Sah and Shikha Dev who came for his rescue were also beaten along with him.

Strongly condemning the incident, the Federation of Nepali Teachers and the Federal Teachers Forum Nepal have issued separate statements on October 16 and the Nepal National Teachers Association on October 17 demanding action against those who abused and beat the teachers.

However, the chairman of the school management committee said that Sah used to distribute the scholarships to the students studying in private schools in Rajbiraj as per his will which started the dispute where they pushed each other but denied the accusation of beating.

Stating that the issue of scholarship distribution was just an excuse, Prof. Sah claimed that he was beaten and mistreated for not cooperating in the plan to transfer Birendra Kumar Yadav, Principal of Secondary School in Kataiya Fatehpur Secondary to the Bishnupur Rural Municipality-1 Khurhuriya.

Renu Devi Yadav, a member of the school management committee, lodged a complaint against the acting headmaster Sah, teachers Ram Narayan Yadav, Mahesh Yadav and accountant Ram Lakhan Yadav at the District Police Office on October 15 on the charge of behaving indecently by using abusive words.
