Police arrested 27-year-old Shankar Singh Mahara, secretary of the outlawed Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplov’ led group, Kanchanpur district party office.
According to Amar Bahadur Thapa, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Mahara was arrested from Bhimdutta Municipality-18.
Mahara, who is currently living in Bhimdatta Municipality-18, Gobraiya, Kanchanpur, is accused of extortion and involved in various incidents.
