The body of 45-year-old Headmaster Govinda Gharedi of Dadabagh Primary School in Dilasheni Rural Municipality-2 of Baitadi district was found dead on Tuesday in Shailyashikhar Municipality-9.
Relatives of the deceased blocked the Mahakali Highway in Gokuleshwar by burning tires, demanding an investigation into the incident on November 3. They have taken a stand not to take the body until the facts are investigated and the culprit is arrested.
According to the police, they found Rs 85,000 in cash along with a bag, mobile phone, bank chequebook and other belongings from the deceased. From the bruises on the dead body, it was said that the victim was attacked with a sharp weapon on his head. On November 2, he had gone to the school to pay salaries of the teacher.
