23-year-old Nandalal Shrestha of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-1, Sindhuli was arrested for allegedly killing his 25-year-old friend Krishna Chaudhary of Dang by hitting him on the head with a stone in Lakeside Basundhara Park in Pokhara-6 on November 7.
Chaudhary and Shrestha used to work together collecting and selling rags. They had a heated argument over the issue of cigarettes under the influence of alcohol. Shrestha threw stones at Chaudhary three times and seriously injured him.
Chaudhary, who was undergoing treatment at the Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara, died on November 7. Shrestha, who was absconding after Chaudhary's murder, was arrested by the Kaski police on November 10 while he was going to Kathmandu through Rexa at Tanahu Abu Khaireni-2.
