Addressing a protest rally organized by Rastriya Janamorcha Kathmandu at Maitighar Mandal on November 30, CPN -Masal's spokesperson Ram Prakash Puri mentioned that his party opposes federalism with nationalism,  sovereignty and integrity at the center not for the power.

He clarified that federalism would weaken nationalism, sovereignty, jeopardize geographical integrity and weaken the country economically due to conflict between castes and ethnic harmony.

He also warned that the country would end if federalism was not abolished in the current situation. Stating that the movement of revivalists is increasing now, he said that his party was in favor of defending the republic and secularism. He also demanded the government not to pass the MCC under any circumstances, claiming that if the MCC is passed, it will end the country's independent foreign policy including non-alignment.
