Sindhuli,Balatkaarka aaropitlaai 5 varsha kaaid. Sindhuli/June 2 Krishna Bahadur Thami, 18, of Kamalamai Municipality-4 has been awarded five years sentence for raping a 42-year-old woman. Single bench of Devendra Poudel made the decision on June 2 also asking him to pay Rs 5,000 as compensation to the victim. Thami was arrested on May 8 on charge of raping the woman at her home on May 7 threatening her of killing if she shouted for help. Medical checkup of the woman was conducted at Sindhuli District Hospital on May 8. Thami was remanded in custody since May 26. According to the district court registrar Manoj Srivastav, the case was heard on continuous hearing under the rule no. 23 (c) of District Court Regulation 2050 and that the case was decided in seven days.
