·Rastriya Janamorcha Party has announced protest stating that they will not accept New Constitution if it declares Nepal as Federal Structures. Vehicular movement halted along the Mechi and Kosi highways and internal road sections. Markets, institutions, and industries are closed. Reportedly, the organizer of general strike has allowed to ply the press, ambulance, dairy, wedding, human rights vehicles. Normal life in the Mechi and Koshi zones has been affected by the bandh called by Rastriya Jana Morcha (RJM) on March 15. The RJM has been staging strikes in various parts of the country demanding scrapping of federalism, election in local bodies and drafting of constitution in stipulated time.

 

INSEC representatives from Sunsari, Dhankuta, Sankhuwasabha, Panchthar, Ilam reported that vehicles stayed off the road while markets remained shut due to the bandh. Industries remained shut while students were affected as the educational institutions were closed.
