Five mine workers were injured when a group of seven unidentified people detonated an IED (Unidentified Explosive Device) targeting the mine area of Solar Cement Industry at Bhantawari in Katari Municipality-8 on December 3. The group even set fire to the mine's excavator. No one has claimed responsibility for the blast.
The injured are identified as 24-year-old Bishnu Bahadur Magar, 23-year-old Navin Magar, 25-year-old Durga Tamang, 30-year-old Sagar Moktan and 18-year-old Shiva Shankar Moktan. The blast destroyed three excavators and an unmarked motorcycle in the mining area of the industry.
