KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority on Wednesday filed a fake credential case at the Supreme Court against a Sub-Inspector of Nepal Police. The CIAA said in a press statement today that Narayan Prasad Adhikari, deployed at the Area Police Post, Saranghat of Tanahun produced a fake academic certificate from the Secondary Education Board, Uttar Pradesh of India for promotion. The CIAA demanded that the court slap him an imprisonment from six months to one year and a fine from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 as per Section 16(1) of the Anti-Corruption Act, 2002.
