Anita Sunuwar alias Anita Tamang of Sindhupalchowk was arrested by the police's human trafficking bureau on December 14 from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7 Chabahil on the charge of trafficking people to South Africa.

Earlier, 43-year-old Ganesh Kumar Lonwa of Taplejung, Miringdeng was arrested from Panipokhari in Maharajgunj of Kathmandu on December 1 on the charge of being involved in the same incident. It has been revealed that they sold five people to South Africa through different countries in the temptation of paying attractive salary for foreign employment on March 16, 2017. 

The victims were rescued after fleeing to the Nepali embassy and they mentioned that they were physically, mentally and financially exploited and held hostage for four to five months .
