An unidentified group torched an excavator bearing number plate Lu 1 Ka 2674, in Kaligandaki Rural Municipality on Saturday night. The excavator was being used to upgrade road and open new tracks in the Rural Municipality.
The excavator was set on fire at around 8 pm on Saturday night. The fire was brought under control by locals, people's representatives and police at 10 pm. Police Inspector Hari Poudel of Ward Police Office Waling said that the incident is being investigated.
