Nepali Congress Chitwan staged an anti-governmental demonstration in Bharatpur on December 14 against alleged maladministration, corruption, totalitarian aspirations and repression practised by the current government.

Thousands of Congress leaders and activists participated in the demonstration. The protest that started from Chauviskothi in Bharatpur reached Pulchowk in Narayangarh and turned into a corner rally. The meeting was addressed by Nepali Congress leader and former finance minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat.

Party leaders, cadres and fraternal organizations from 98 wards of all the municipalities in the district participated in the demonstration.
