Nepali Congress stages demonstration against government in Damak

The main opposition party, Nepali Congress, staged a demonstration at Damak, on Monday. The joint general secretary of NC, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, addressed the assembly in Damak.
The party staged the demonstration against the detention of senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel in his home district on December 2, increasing incidents of violence against women and the government apathy in the COVID-19 response and alleged corruption in the purchase of medical equipment a few months ago. NC also accused the government is heading towards authoritarianism.
