Farmers associated with Janata Samajwadi Party of Saptari have staged sit-in in front of the District Administration Office, Saptari on Thursday demanding the government to address the legitimate demands of sugarcane farmers.

A sit-in has been organized in front of the District Administration Office from 12 noon to 1 am led by Kisan Sangh of Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal.

Farmer leader Binod Yadav said the sit-in program has been organized demanding immediate payment of arrears to the sugarcane farmers, timely provision of fertilizers and seeds to the farmers at concessional prices, and maintaining the affordable price of paddy.
