Biplav group impose strike in four districts of Gandaki over the death of group's Mygadi leader

2020-12-18

After the Biplav group's Myagdi leader Gajendra Pun 'Jagat' died under suspicious circumstances on December 15, they imposed a strike in four districts (Parbat, Baglung, Myagdi and Mustang) of Gandaki Province on December 18.

Pun was under treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Western Regional Hospital in Pokhara.

The Parbat prison administration closed the school today alleging that it had seriously compromised Pun's health and neglected his treatment. Due to the bandh, only sporadic vehicles have been operating in the area. Overall, the strike had a partial effect in the provinces.
