Woman Gang Raped By Husband, Brother-in-Law

Makwanpur,patnilaai pati sahit afantbattai samuhik balatkaar. A woman who got married five weeks ago has been gang raped by her husband and his younger brother. She is currently undergoing treatment at Hetuanda Hospital. Police have arrested her husband Santosh Upadhyaya, his brother Suman Upadhyaya for the rape and Bhagwati Devi Upadhaya, Santosh’s aunt for being an accomplice. SP Ganesh Bahadur Air said that police had forwarded the investigation against all three after filing case against them on June 5. The victim got married to Satosh on May 1 but began inflicting mental and physical torture from the next day. It is learnt that Bhagwati was into bringing contrabands from Raxaul and giving it for sale at Santosh’s shop. When she asked the victim to join the trade, she refused. Police suspected that the accused three, then could have forced her into flesh trade to influence the people at custom offices to smooth moving of contrabands. Bhagwati was administering sedative to her every evening and then the brothers would rape her. On May 31, she was given drugs in the pretext of that being the medicine for gastric problem which she resisted but was force-fed and then raped. The incident prompted her to file a police complaint.
