Bibeksheel Sajha Party staged a symbolic protest against the dissolution of the House of Representatives in the Patan Durbar area of Lalitpur on December 22, accusing the move as unconstitutional.

During the protest, cadres of Bibeksheel Sajha Party made a map of Nepal in Patan Durbar area. They stood around the map with being tied with ropes to symbolize that the Nepalese are being tied like this for 30 years now. They also carried placards written about corruption, broker mafia and others. 

Leader of the party, Pradip Kumar Thapa stated that the dissolution of the parliament was mainly due to factionalism within the party. He warned to take to the streets against the illegal move of the Prime Minister and said his party is expecting the Supreme Court to give a fair verdict on the move by the Prime Minister and President Bidyadevi Bhandari to dissolve the parliament.
