Police have arrested seven students who participated in the protest in front of the Supreme Court against the dissolution of the House of Representatives organized by the Congress-affiliated National Students Union (NSU) on December 25. During the protest, the students demanded the repeal of the decision saying that the decision to dissolve the House of Representatives was unconstitutional.  

The Supreme Court's constitutional session is currently hearing petitions against the dissolution of the House of Representatives. Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra had constituted a five-member bench on December 25 morning.
