Prachanda-Nepal-led Nepal Communist Party (NCP) cadres burned the effigy of Prime Minister KP Oli at Dolakha district headquarters Charikot on December 25 stating that the decision of parliament dissolution was taken in an unconstitutional manner. The protest was organized by the NCP's sister organization  All Nepal  National Free Students Union (ANNFSU). 

The protesters marched from the market area chanting slogans against the government, reached Satdobato Chowk and turned into a corner rally. ANNFSU central member Prashun Karki and district coordinator Roshan Khadka addressed the corner meeting. He warned of continued agitation against Prime Minister Oli's move.
