Child rescued‚ abductors apprehended

Birgunj, apharit balakh ko uddhar. BIRGUNJ: A three-year-old child who was abducted two weeks ago from Pandu Bazaar of Bhaktapur was safely rescued from Motihari district of India on Sunday night. Betu Chaudhary, the son of Rajesh Chaudhary was abducted on May 28. The kidnappers had demanded Rs.15 million in ransom for the release of the abductee. Nepal Police said that they traced the location of the assailants on the basis of phone calls and were successful to rescue the child. Police said that they have arrested five persons including the mastermind of the abduction. The two of the five suspects have been identified as Bhagi Narayan Thakur aka Amal Dev of Bara, Dinesh Singh of Bihar, India. Singh was also in the 'most-wanted' list of both Nepal Police and Indian Police since long. SP Ishwor Babu Karki of the District Police Office, Bara said that Bittu was rescued 24 hours after police nabbed Singh.
