The Dahal-Nepal faction of NCP (Nepal Communist Party) staged a demonstration in Jhapa, the home district of Prime Minister KP Oli to protest against his decision to dissolve the House of Representatives. Before the protest rally, leaders and cadres of the Dahal-Nepal group marched around Birtamod, chanting slogans against Prime Minister Oli's move.
Former Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai expressed that Prime Minister Oli had no right to dissolve the House of Representatives and that the party's flag, election symbol and official status would be based on the majority as per Article 44.
