Kailali/June 11 Area Police Office Attariya has arrested Padam Nepali, 40, on charge of setting his wife Ganga Devi Nepali, 35, of Lalpur in Attariya Municipality-6 on fire on June 10. Padam, who was absconding after the incident, was arrested by APO Attariya with support of APF Attariya from near his home. Locals had reported the incident to police. According to police, Padam set his wife on fire in the morning of June 10 by sprinkling diesel over her body. Inspector Bisnu Bahadur Singh of the APO Attariya said that the victim's chest and back part of the body sustained burn injuries. The victim is undergoing treatment at Seti Zonal Hospital in Dhangadhi. Inspector Singh added that inebriated Padam was learnt to have set his wife on fire for not providing him 'good meal'.
