Demonstration against government by lighting lanterns in Kathmandu

Students affiliated to the Dahal-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party took out a symbolic lantern demonstration in Kathmandu in protest against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s move to dissolve the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament. Subsequently, midterm elections were announced to be held in April-May, 2021. The demonstrations were carried out on Wednesday, January 06, in the capital.
