Police have arrested 32-year-old Ashish Sunuwar, of Sunsari, Dharan Sub-Metropolis-17 from Biratnagar on January 13 on a charge of trying to traffic a 14-year-old girl to India through Jogbani.

An organization called Sanahataharu had informed the police that the accused had taken the victim to Jogbani Naka after being tempted to buy clothes.

On the basis of the victim's statement, the accused has been arrested on January 13 and a case of human trafficking has been registered in the district court on January 15.
