The Pushpa Kamal Dahal-Madhav Nepal faction of the Nepalese Communist Party (NCP) staged a protest at the district headquarters in Rajbiraj on January 18 against the dissolution of parliament, alleging that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of taking unconstitutional steps.
Leaders and cadres wearing black bandages on the premises of the local Shiva temple chanted slogans against PM Oli and demanded the restoration of the House of Representatives. There was significant participation of women in demonstrations and rallies.
