Prachanda-Nepal faction of NCP staged torch rally a day before the arrival of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is scheduled to address the public meeting to be held in Deukhuri after the party split. Around 100 activists marched from Rapti Rural Municipality Ward No. 2 Barakhutti Chowk to Public School Lalmatiya.
Before addressing the gathering, Oli will be inaugurating Nepal's second-longest concrete bridge connecting Sisahaniya and Mahadeva. After that, he is scheduled to address a public meeting in Rapti Village Municipality-2, Lalmatiya. According to security sources, arrangements have been made to make his travel via helicopter even though the distance from the inauguration site to Lalmatiya is short due to the increase in protests.
