A group of people have staged a sit-in at the court premises demanding action against Sanjay Rauniyar alias Mantu, who was arrested on the charge of cheating by investing in usury.
The district government prosecutor's office is presenting Mantu in the district court on Tuesday. The victims staged a sit-in on Tuesday morning demanding action against Mantu.
42-year-old Sanjay Rauniyar of Ghogapul Chowk in Biratnagar-9 has been accused of cheating farmers in rural areas by investing loans in meter interest for several years.
