Police on January 27 have arrested 35-year-old Manoj Mahato of Janakpur Sub-metropolitan City-12 while he was taking a 6-year-old girl towards India to sell her. After receiving information that Mahato had taken the girl for trafficking, the police deployed from Jatahi Police Station found him on the road in Nagarain Municipality-2 and arrested him. According to the District Police Office, Dhanusha, further investigation is underway into the human trafficking and smuggling case against Mahato.
