Thirteen Nepali Congress affiliated associations staged a joint demonstration across the country on February 1 against the dissolution of the parliament. In Dhangadi, they staged the protest rally from Chauraha.

Associations including Nepal Students Union, Nepal Mahila Sangh, Nepal Tarun Dal and other organizations have protested against the dissolution of the parliament saying that it is a step towards totalitarianism. They accused the Oli government of increasing corruption, lacking action against Covid-19 management and showing indifference towards public issues.
