Five injured in clash between locals‚ army in Chitwan

Ratnanagar, Sainik ra sthaniya bich jhadap ma 5 ghaite. RATNANAGAR: At least five persons were injured when soldiers of Nepal and locals have clashed last night at Golaghat of western Chitwan. The clash had ensued over disputes related to fishing. Three soldiers and two locals were injured in the clash. A policeman was also injured when a police team that went to take the situation under control itself came under attack, DSP Shanti Raj Koirala of the district police office said. According to him, the injured are undergoing treatment at the Bharatpur Medical College. Police have started investigation into the incident, said DSP Koirala. The names of the injured have not been disclosed. People from areas located around the buffer zone of the Chitwan National Park usually kill fish in local streams and swamps. Fishing is allowed in the areas only with permission. Although it is said the clash took place over a dispute over fishing, the exact cause has not been ascertained, police said. Locals said they have taken an army vehicle under control after the clash.
