17 NCP cadres detained from Birgunj

Police have detained 17 cadres of Prachanda-Madhav faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) from various places of Birgunj, on the day general strike announced by the group on Thursday. Police have arrested them for obstructing the road and business in Birgunj area.
Shivam Sah, a central member of ANNFSU, said police have kept all the arrested leaders and cadres in the custody of the District Police Office, Parsa.
