NCP's Prachanda-Madhav faction burnt the effigy of Prime Minister KP Oli on February 5 in Rajbiraj in protest of police repression in various parts of the country, including Janakpur and Kathmandu, during the general strike of Prachanda Nepal on February 4.
Leaders including Matrika Prasad Yadav and Ram Chandra Jha were injured in the police repression in Janakpur. Leaders including state assembly member Mahesh Prasad Yadav, labour leader Kedar Dev and youth leader Niranchan Jha have protested against the police repression and demanded an investigation into the incident.
