A clash took place between Armed Police Force (APF) and the wood smugglers in the national forest area of Rautahat District. The clash took place when an APF forest patrol team deployed from Division Forest Office, Chocha, tried to stop the illegal smuggling of Shorea robusta tree.

Rajesh Shah, head of the Division Forest Office, Chocha, said that the smugglers fled, leaving their timber and bicycles after the team fired in the air to stop the smuggling.  Shah informed that they were searching the absconded smugglers.
