53-year-old woman Devikala Gharti of Chaurajahari Municipality-8 of Rukum West was killed for not repaying a loan taken two years ago. Gharti, who went missing on February 8, was found dead on February 10. Police arrested 23-year-old Dipendra Pun on suspicion of involvement in the murder.

The District Police Office revealed that Pun killed Gharti on the pretext of not repaying the loan of Rs 4,000 given two years ago. As per the investigations, she was hit b by the stone on the head and dragged to the local forest in Takura Village.
