Police arrested 24-year-old Ramu Mukhiya of Manpur in Madhavnarayan Municipality Ward No. 4, on the charge of murder of his 45-year-old friend Dashai Ram of Mithuawa in the same municipality on November 29, 2020. Mukhiya was arrested from Katahariya Bazaar in Katahariya Municipality-5 on February 15.

Ram's body was found in a field at Bisunpurwa in Manpur the next day. According to the police, Mukhiya killed Ram by hitting him on the chest and mouth with a solid object.
