All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) - (Ranjit Tamang Group) has staged a protest in front of campuses across the country on February 18 against the government for increasing fuel prices twice a week. They staged a protest at Ratnarajya Campus in Kathmandu chanting anti-government slogans, wearing black bandages and burning tires.
The Nepal Oil Corporation had last increased the price of diesel, petrol, kerosene and domestic aviation fuel by Rs 2 per litre on February 16. Prior to that, the price of cooking gas was increased by Rs 25 per cylinder and petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per litre on February 10. Consumers have been affected by the price hike in fuel including cooking gas.
