Six prisoners injured in gang fight in Tanahu jail, police denied the jail incident

Six prisoners were injured in a clash between a two groups of inmates at Tanahu District jail, on Sunday. The clash occurred on the issues of selecting the leader of the prisoners. Kul Bahadur Thapa, Anup Thapa, Madhav Kandel, Dhan Bahadur Shahi, Dipak Darji and Gyan Bahadur BK were injured in the clash. Two of the injured have sustained head injuries, while others have sustained minor injuries. 

The injured returned to the jail after treatment at Damauli Hospital. Yuvraj Timilsena, Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Tanahu, said there was no clash in the jail. Discussions are underway between Chief District Officer Sagar Acharya, SP Arun Paudel and the prison administration regarding the incident.
