Bara/June 25 The District Court has slapped life sentence to platoon commander of Tarai Mukti Morcha Sunil Jaiswal alias Agni, 35, of Gangbhawanipur VDC-3 on June 23. Judge Narayan Pokharel handed over the verdict convicting him of killing four Maoist cadres in Ganjbhawanipur VDC four years ago. The Maoist cadres were killed when Jaiswal, who ran away from the APF with arms, was the military commander of Bra, Parsa and Rautahat. Maoist cadres Ram Prakash Yadav, 40, his brother Kanhaiya Yadav, 35, nephew Dara Yadav, 27, and one Ambika Mahato Nuniya, 35, died in the attack by Tarai Mukti Morcha cadres on January 6, 2010. Sunil, who was hiding in India, was arrested by police team led by SSP Sarbendra Khanal of Zonal Police Office Birgunj about a year ago. He was remanded in custody after police filed a murder charge against him.
