Khotang/ June 25 Jasuda Rai, 26, teacher of Jalapa Lower Secondary School at Kharmi VDC-5 has lodged a complaint of labour exploitation against Shyam Kumar Rai, 40, chairperson of school management committee, at district education office, teachers association and women rights network of the district on June 24. She complained that she has been deprived of monthly salary of Rs 5,700 since seven months. She has been working as a teacher at Jalapa School since six years. Acting district education officer, Min Bahadur Thapa said that the chairperson Rai has been summoned to resolve the problem. Chairperson of Inter Party women network, Bimala Rai said that initiation would be taken for the settlement of case and a legal action would be initiated against him if a settlement is not reached.
