Dilip Sah, an information officer of the survey office in Janakpur beats a 40-year-old service recipient, Arun Prasad Gami, of Sabaila Municipality-12 of Dhanusha after he tried to record the evidence of the survey officer asking for a bribe on his phone on March 19. Gami has been going to the survey office for 3 years regarding his land disputes, however, on March 19, he met Sah, the officer who immediately demanded a bribe of Rs 200,000.
Gami, who was injured in Sah's beating, fled to a nearby Armed Police Force camp and later lodged a complaint against Sah at the District Police Office. On March 21, both accused and victim reached the police station for discussion. However, Gami complained that Sah and the police forced him to sign a compromise.
