A group of active journalists of Rautahat district padlocked the office of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) Rautahat branch on March 22, alleging of not providing them with the membership and depriving them of the right to participate in the upcoming election. They further accuse the FNJ of barring the membership of deserving journalists and their participation in the election due to mutual interests and disputes among federation officials.

The protesting group of journalists reached the FNJ office with banners and slogans and also warned that they will fight against the FNJ until the demands are addressed.
