A joint team of the District Police Office, Bardiya, and the Metropolitan Crime Branch, Kathmandu arrested 44-year-old Shekhar Bahadur Sunuwar on March 25 on the charge of human trafficking and smuggling.

Earlier on March 1, police had arrested 25-year-old Kanhaiyalal Yadav from Bardiya while he was taking two women to India from Madhuban Municipality-7 by offering them lucrative jobs in Oman. Police are conducting further investigation in this regard.
