An unidentified group put the dozers (Bhe 1 Ka 4636 and Bhe 1 Ka 1294) on fire in the forest between Jufal and Lahara in course of the construction of road linking wards 5 and 6, shared Police Inspector Hariram Dangi. While inquiring about the incident, locals said there was no any untoward incident on dozers till 7.30 pm Saturday but the fire was noticed in the following morning.
It is yet to be investigated who was behind the incident for what reason, Inspector Dangi said, adding on-site investigation has been initiated. The fire has completely destroyed both the dozers. Police said that both the dozers were found registered in the name of Mausham and Harish Construction Service.
Mayor Shahi said he was in Kathmandu when the incident took place and was informed over the phone later. Police have already reached the site for investigation into the incident, mayor Shahi said.
