Civil Society Network for Peace staged a demonstration in Pokhara on March 29, calling for the restoration of democratic order and protection of human rights against the military coup in Myanmar.
Protestors carried placards with slogans such as Restore Democracy, Respect Human Rights, Stop Genocide, Protect Human Rights in Myanmar. They plead for the voices should be raised internationally against the oppression of the people without considering the general values of human rights.
There was participation in the demonstration of various organizations; INSEC, Kopila Nepal, Children Nepal, Women's Human Rights Defenders Network, Amnesty International, Gonesha, CWIN and NGO Federation Kaski.
