Beating by Locals Leaves Robber Dead

A robber has been killed after locals sternly beat him by taking control over him while he had been fleeing the scene after a robbery in Bisunpurwa VDC on November 19.

A gang comprising of some six armed robbers had looted house of a local Shiva Shankar Sahani, of Bisunpurwa8 in the night and gang had run away following the loot. In meantime, locals chased the looters and took control over one of them and beat him to death, the Bara District Police Office said, adding that identify of the dead has not been established yet.

Shiva Shankar and his wife Gayetra Devi were injured when the looters attacked them while looting their house, police said, adding that the injured are undergoing treatment in a local health institution.
