About 60 Burmese students studying in various schools, colleges and music schools in Nepal staged a demonstration in front of the Myanmar embassy in Nepal to protest against Myanmar's military coup and repression of civilians. The protestors are citizens of Myanmar belonging to Nepalese descent.
The students also handed over a letter of protest to the Myanmar embassy representative. A number of Myanmar delegates, including Myanmar's envoy to the United Nations and Myanmar's ambassador to the United Kingdom, have spoken out against the military rule and called for the restoration of democracy in Myanmar. Dr Myo Than, a protester, said that voices should be raised from all over the world against the killings in Myanmar.
